Family Update
(Edna's Heart)

Dear Friends,

Greetings to you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!

“Now the Lord is Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” II Corinthians 3:17

We believe the Kingdom of God is advancing and so we continue to trust the Lord day by day and look forward to a bright and hopeful future. “For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea” and may His Kingdom come His will be done on earth as it is in heaven! Though the bad guys are taking the lead God is over all the nations and subduing His enemies until they be made a footstool for His feet! Our God reigns and is waging the battle. I encourage you to read Psalm 2 and Psalm 110.

Clingman Family update:

Samuel (17) is stepping into a new stage of life as he considers a college degree through accelerated distance learning or possibly going to a Christian college. He and Christian enjoy visiting homeschooled friends who have a goat farm. They have stayed over night several time and helped with chores on that primitive farm where they have to haul drinking water from a spring.

Christian (13) is taking self defence lessons with a Christian family friend and enjoys it very much. He and Samuel have been a blessing in helping friends around the area, sometimes Eugene is with them. They also recently did a 16 minute movie out on the goat ranch mentioned above. It turned out remarkably good for first time filmer/actors.

Joshua (5) is growing so much in character and responsibility. He faithfully makes his bed and reads his Bible (looks at the pictures and tells his little brother and sister the story) before eating breakfast in the morning. He runs many errands for Mommy and is especially helpful when little friends come over by helping me clean up and diligently picking up the toys in the house with the help of his little brother and sister. He is often in charge of rocking the baby.

Justice (3) normally is the brightest boy in the family and is growing in character learning to be a big brother to Essie and her good protector. He is learning to play kindly with her.

Esther (2) is growing, lively, vibrant and is really good with the baby. She can hold the baby even when he is crying. The boys on the other hand give up the baby right away when he cries. Essie is potty trained already though sometimes she misses, most of the time she does well. Joshua, Justice and Essie enjoy homeschooling which begins in the morning by reading Proverbs, reciting the homeschool pledge of allegiance and singing our national anthem. They love coloring and tracing and listening to read aloud stories.

Baby Lemuel will be 3 months December 23. He was 8 lbs and 19 ¼” in length. He was born 3:45 PM after only 45 minutes of labor. He is growing strong and bright and coohs often. Eugene says I will be teaching him to talk for 2 years and then for the next 18 years will be trying to get him to be quiet! Eugene is a joker! Lemuel has his Daddy’s hairline and Mom’s complexion. When he was born the children asked, “Where did you get that baby?” (they just woke up from a nap). I am doing well and enjoying mothering especially with the new baby. The children love their little brother and talk to him a lot. I enjoy doing housework and cooking with Lemuel in his baby carrier where I be with him and also get my tasks done.

Eugene had a flu and cold recently (he was the last of our family to get it). I am thankful for his faithfulness in leading our Family devotions every night, we are in the Book of Revelation and are gaining some insight through a commentary called “Days of Vengeance” by David Chilton. We enjoy our family dinnertime reading the book entitled “Making Brothers and Sisters Best Friends”. It reveals how we can fight the good fight at home, true stuff and hilarious too!

Have a Wonderful Merry CHRISTmas and Thank you so much for standing with us in the work of ICCP.

With love and appreciation,
Edna Clingman
